This last week was a big one for Zoey! She accomplished and experienced a lot of new things.First- We started feeding her rice cereal and she loves it. The faces she makes are so cute and it makes Alex and I laugh the entire time.
Second- On Friday while my best friend from high school (Megan) was over Alex found a tooth in Zoey's mouth. Yes a tooth that has already broke through at only 4 months. She is actually breaking one right next to it as well. We knew she had been drooling a lot but she has always drooled so we didn't think anything of it. She hadn't been extra fussy and so we were totally caught off guard.
Third- Zoey went on her very first camping trip. On Friday after Megan left we headed out for bumping lake to camp with Justin and Jeanette. Zoey did a great job the entire time! Another mom up there kept saying "Your baby is the happiest baby I have ever seen" or "You have the best baby". She has three kids herself and one is only two months old, so of course this made me feel great. I held my head high and was very proud of her!!!
Forth- She giggled/laughed for the first time while we were up camping. It was probably the cutest thing I have ever seen! So far we have gotten her to do it a few times everyday since, but we definitely have to work for it. I can't wait until she does it all the time!
Fifth- She swang in the big kid swing outside. Zoey has always loved being outside and adding a swing to the equation just made it that much better. She smiled almost the whole time and enjoyed just looking around. The only negative is that we think she might be just like her mom, because she spit up all over me once we got inside. Motion sickness in a baby? Coincidence?
When she is stuck inside and wishing she wasn't we let her look out and that satisfies her.
It is amazing how much they can learn and grow in just a week! It makes me sad to know that time is only going to get faster. Soon our baby will be walking and talking and want nothing to do with us anymore. I tell myself every day to enjoy it because she will not be the same tomorrow! Each new day brings something different.
We went to the doctor on Monday for her 4 month check up and shots. She now weighs 13 pounds 14 ounces and is in the 27th percentile. She is 24 and a 1/2 inches long and is in the 45th percentile for height. She did a great job with her shots. She didn't cry on the first one and only cried for about 2 minutes after the second. It breaks my heart to see her that upset, but at the same time I was so proud of her.
Well there is the Zoey update! She is doing great and we love her to death!
