They say having a baby is the hardest thing on your body, but I am going to have to disagree! Getting back into shape after having a baby is the hardest thing on your body!!! I have been running for just over a week and man does my body hurt. The doctor said to take six weeks off after having Zoey, but I couldn't wait any longer. My runs last 30 minutes and let me tell you it is the longest, hardest thirty minutes ever. I remember not to long ago when 30 minutes was a warm up. Now when I am done every part of me is sore and tired. For that last month of pregnancy all I wanted was my own body back. Now that I am not sharing, it is nice, but I am still wanting my old body back. I miss the days of feeling unstoppable!!! I guess all I can do is continue to work at it. Time will only tell if I can return to the physical shape I was in before. Everyone keeps telling me it will never go back, but I am bound and determined to prove them wrong. I will try my hardest thirty minutes at a time!
Happy New Year!!

I believe in you! I was back down to my old weight within three months (even though it took a little longer for my body to go back to the right shape) and the only thing that didn't go back to the way it was before was extra skin on my belly. I didn't even try to tone my abs either to help with that so with the way you work out I wouldn't worry about it. Take it easy right now, I can't imagine running only 5 weeks after giving birth but more power to ya!
