I know this is a little late but here is an update on the things happening in Zoey's 1st month of life. She is getting so big! Let me tell you the girl knows how to eat, but what else would you expect out a Heater/Moon baby? She eats every three hours on the dot, even throughout the night. Therefore we are up twice a night to feed, change her pants and rock back to sleep. The early morning hours spent just the two of us staring at each other, has really grown on me and is actually my favorite time. Zoey is gaining a lot of strength in her neck and is also learning to push of things pretty hard with her legs.
I swear she poops every 30 minutes (ok maybe not that often, but so so much) and passes gas so loud she always has her dad and I cracking up. We especially enjoy the machine gun farts and squeakers.
During the last month she came down with a very, very nasty adult cold, that had us at the doctors office several days in a row. She was absolutely miserable during this time which caused her to be fussy. It killed Alex and I to see her like this. During the night she would wake up coughing, choking or because she couldn't breath, which in turn meant no sleep for me. Her fever caused a bad rash all over her body that is just starting to go away. I am very glad to have our happy little girl back! The last big step for Zoey is that she will now take a pacifier. Thanks to Sharron Robinson we can now sooth her without letting her latch onto me every time. I will be forever in debt to her for keeping me from being a pacifier for forever.
so there you go.... Zoey's big achievements and news in her 1st month.
Happy New Year!!
