Sickness & Movement

On Sunday morning I woke up just feeling awful! I thought about missing church but realized I had way to much to take care of. So I went and felt horrible the entire time. Once church was over, the mothers of the young women and the leaders had to practice a song. While singing at the pulpit I realized I was going to loose my cookies and had to run for it. I barely made it to the bathroom, but luckily did. From that point on I couldn't hold anything down (including liquids) for more than 30 minutes. After about 6 hours of this my doctor told me to go to the emergency room for fear of dehydration. When my mom heard I was in the hospital, she of course jumped in the car and drove over. After a 3 hour visit to the ER and an IV I was headed home for some rest. My mom stayed with me through the night and until 2:00 the next day when I finally was holding things down. The only conclusion anyone could draw was that I got food poisoning or some sort of bug. Either way it was one of the worst 24 hours of my life!

It was so nice having my mom there to take care of me. My husband does a great job at that sort of thing, but it helped that she was there so he could actually get some sleep and make it to work the next day. Alex was the biggest sweet heart through the whole thing. He gave me an amazing priesthood blessing that made me feel much more calm and not as stressed about Zoey's health. He would rub my back while my insides felt like they were being pulled out and then brought me flowers home from work the next day! I don't know what I would do without a great mom and an amazing husband!

You would think nothing positive could come out of this but some actually did. I don't know if the two were related or not but on Tuesday when I was starting to feel better I felt Zoey move for the first time. I thought a few times previous that I had felt her, but now that I know what it feels like I know that before was just gas. I have felt her move several times in that last few days and man it is the coolest thing ever. I guess all that dry heaving woke her up and made her active. I am so happy she is ok and very excited she is making her presence known!!!

Counting Sleeps!

I am obviously bias.... but I think I have two of the cutest nieces ever! They call me Aunt Snurdle and don't ask me why. I don't even know what a Snurdle is, but that is my name to them. I am the favorite aunt and they dearly love Alex. Due to the fact that we live so far away and never get to see them they have started counting sleeps. They will call and tell me how many sleeps until Aunt Snurdle is in town to play. This little game of counting sleeps has now moved throughout the family and everyone counts sleeps until I am home and they can roll out the red carpet (as Jeanette would say)! So as of now there is 20 sleeps until I get to see them again and 8 months until I am with them permanently, but who is counting. I love and miss them all so much!!!
