Getting to know us!

So I figured our first posting should be about us. So here is a little rundown of who we are:

Alex was born and raised here in Spokane WA, with a great family. He graduated from Shadle Park High School where he participated in Track, Cross Country & Choir. I was Born in Tremonton UT, and raised in Yakima WA, also with a great family. I graduated from Eisenhower High School and also participated in Track & Cross Country.

Alex and I both went to Eastern Washington University on Scholarships to run Track for them. This is where we met! We ran there for five years together and both were very successful. He got his degree in Exercise Science and I got mine in Criminal Justice.

We were both raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have been members our whole lives. The church has influenced our lives and shaped us to be the people we are today. We both have been blessed greatly for our strong faith. Alex and I were sealed together on Sept. 9th 2006 in the Columbia River Temple for time and all eternity. We both deeply enjoy the blessings that come with an eternal marriage. Currently Alex is teaching the 15-16 year olds at church and I am serving in the Young Women's Presidency. Both are keeping us very busy!

Alex is a graduate student at Eastern and is working towards his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He is really enjoying it (minus the hard tests) and can not wait to get in the practice and start making money! He only has the rest of this quarter, two or three classes this summer, and the two year comp. exam before he can start his 3 ten week internships next year. After those he is finally done!!! On Fridays you can catch Alex in the park playing ultimate Frisbee with his classmates. They all have become quite good and really look forward to this time to hangout without the worry of school.

I am currently working at a law firm downtown and have come to enjoy it. There have been very rough times but with a few promotions and pay raises I am finally happy. I work in the bookkeeping department and also help with litigation, special projects, and research. When the receptionist is out I sit at her desk and answer phones. Some how everyone there has figured out that I am not a weak girl and expects me to do all the heavy lifting. I have come to except this and actually enjoy the chance to get up and work my muscles. Need less to say WKDT will be my home for a while!

Alex and I enjoy doing many things together! We both have a tremendous passion for Track and Field. Every chance we get we are watching it or talking about it. We both love the outdoors and love doing anything we can outside. Some of our favorites are camping, wakeboarding, running, riding, walking on the beach, sledding, and or course playing games like capture the flag, kick the can, and Rambo! We also enjoy doing many things inside together. A few examples are watching movies or our favorite TV shows, playing board games, cuddling and working out. Alex really enjoys playing his guitar, playing video games, looking on the Internet, or cleaning his bikes. I really enjoy cooking, scrapbooking, reading, sewing, cleaning, and watching girly shows. We really just love spending time together doing whatever it is that we want.

Alex and I plan on one day expanding our family with children, but we don't know when. We both love kids and cant wait until we have our own! Family is really important to both of us and we spend time with ours as often as possible.
